Painting update - June 12th
As you've probably seen, the vendor is progressing well. They will begin to power washing building 475 on Monday. Buildings 450 - 470 are in different phases of completion. 450 is getting the final details done, like the railings and light fixtures. The vendor has also began painting the garage doors. The only thing left is to paint the garage door trim.
For the front doors, the painter will need the doors to be open. So he will post a notice with several options of dates that residents can schedule to have their front doors painted. The doors will need to remain open for a certain time to dry before closing. We will do the same thing for satellite dishes.
If anyone notices any issues, please post it here or PM me the details.
Thanks!

Re: Painting update - June 12th
Powerwashing of building #475 started today. They have also started painting the top of the chimneys and the railings.
Ekim (painting vendor) has told me that after they get done with building 475 they will begin the clubhouse and fence around the pool, so that area gets done sooner rather then later and doesn't interfere with residents using the pool area too much.

The final detail work is being performed on the first two buildings (450, 455). Please feel free to look around and bring up any issues.

Tom,
Just couple of observations. 1) Are they going to paint the light fixtures? 2) Are they going to paint the railings covering the vents? 3) Are they going to paint the fixtures that has building number?
Thanks,
-Yasser

Hi Yasser,
1) Only the building number and the one over the mailboxes. (All other will be an extra cost, so we are looking to see what is most cost effective)
2) Yes, these will be painted but sprayed at once.
3) Yes
Re: Painting update - June 12th
Howdy! Just had a question somewhat related to the painting. In prepping for the painting of the buildiings, they powerwash them. Unfortunately, this has had the side effect of making the windows very dirty again. Is there any plan to have the windows washed again after the painting is done?
Thanks,
Jay
Thanks,
Jay

I need to check on that, not sure at the moment.
Re: Painting update - June 12th
Normally we would have the windows washed right now. However since the painting is going on, we have to wait until the entire complex is finished before the vendor can begin. So for now, the window washing is on hold and not approved. Depending on when the painting is completed we will decide whether to wash the windows this year or wait till after the winter. The reason why is because we don't want to spend ~$14,000 to clean the windows only to have it rain a couple of months later. Wasted money....
So we will evaluate the window washing based on the timing and our budget later on. Hope that makes sense.
