Deck Refinishing Schedule
HA! Gotcha, I don't have the schedule but what I do have is the order. As one building comes to completion we will know at least a week in advance of the start date for the next building. Please keep coming back and checking periodically because things could change.
1. Building 450 now
2. 455 and 465 (Why these two are lumped together, I don't know)
3. 460
4. 470
5. 475
6. 445
7. 435
8. 410
9. 420
10. 425
11. 430
12. 440

Re: Deck Refinishing Schedule
Things have progressed fairly quickly. We're up to building 445 and 475.
A quick note. We've found at least 2 units where the owners have installed tile on the decks. This is NOT allowed. The owners will now be liable for any deck damage. Hopefully that tile and installation will last a LONG time.

Re: Deck Refinishing Schedule
With the recent weather, buildings 475 and 445 have been delayed. They will most likely not start work until mid to late next week.
As the project continues we are beginning to see the signs of delays due to residents who refuse to remove items from their decks. Chances are they are probably not reading this board but if you are, please remove the items so that the vendor can complete the buildings and move on. If another week goes by, I will list the units and buildings here.

Saw this at an open house awhile back and told the agent it wasn't allowed and he said that the tiles weren't actually installed, just laid down. Might want to recheck to be sure.
Re: Deck Refinishing Schedule
My deck was "unveiled" this morning, and it's quite lovely!
It wasn't clear to me why the decks were being resurfaced, but the result is certainly nice.

Re: Deck Refinishing Schedule
Thanks Helen,
The decks were being resurfaced to apply a new top coat for water resistance to ensure moisture doesn't get into the subfloor and cause damage down the road. This is supposed to be done every 10 years but I don't believe it's ever been done. So we were way over do...

Wow, Tom, thanks for the lightening-fast reply, and thanks for getting this necessary work done - and done so beautifully.

Sorry, it was some time ago, but it was on Milan, possibly 445 or 475, it was a 3 bedroom unit in the south corner of the courtyard, listed for sale.
Re: Deck Refinishing Schedule
Well I don't think was the south side of 445 since neither we nor our neighbor have had our units up for sale. We are both original owners.

I believe they are finishing up 435 and 410 currently. You should get a notice about a week ahead when they are about to do your building.

Okay, thanks for the update!

the deck finish
When they paint the buildings are the decks going to be painted or stay they way they are now, with that wet look?

Hi Jean,
I don't know for sure but I believe they will paint over it. The only reason why they wouldn't was if the membrane and special water repellent coatings could not be painted over because it would peel or not stick.
Why the Delay in Completing the Decks @ 440?
What is causing the delay in completing the deck work for 440? Thanks.

I'm sorry but I'm on vacation and not up to date on the work. Please call the vendor directly. Their contact information is on the notice posted or on this forum.
