Awnings update

At last weeks board meeting we finally received a quote for replacing the awnings with new coverings. The cost was about 100K (yes $100,000). In a surprise to me, Peachtree said that the painter would charge us an incremental cost for painting the awnings. The cost being ~$27K. So replacing the awning with new canvas will be 4X the cost. I think the whole board was in agreement that its best to paint. Ekim (the painter) said they would use a special bleach to kill all the mildew and then power wash each awning to ensure the best result.

Just an FYI.

Maybe another option is to kill the mildew and powerwash them and save another 27k. Or does powerwash by itself already 15k?
