Phone Books - Stop Delivery

I noticed the second round of phonebooks left on people's doorsteps and in the trash. If the fact that many of the phonebooks have been sitting on people's doorsteps for 2+ weeks is an indication of their need, I think we would be doing our residents and landfills a service to print the following information out and post by the mailboxes. This was in the Action Line column of today's Mercury News.

"Q: It is that time of the year again. The leaves are changing, wind is picking up "... and phone books are littering my doorstep. I have not cracked a phone book in years — the Internet made them obsolete for me. Is there a way to stop delivery?"
