Neighborhood meeting tomorrow? Empty Neighborhood meeting tomorrow?

Post  AlexB Sun Oct 04, 2009 10:29 pm

Does anyone have the meeting time and location for the neighborhood meeting that was posted by the mailboxes a week or so ago? I meant to write it down, but I forgot to.

Thanks

To Vision North San José Taskforce Members and Interested
Public:

For your information, attached is the agenda for the North San
Jose Neighborhoods Taskforce meeting scheduled for Monday,
October 5, 2009 at 6:30 PM. The meeting will take place at the
Novellus Auditorium (3960 North First Street). Staff will
present the following items:

1) Changes to the North San Jose Area Development Policy:

a) Large-format retail and hotel development

On June 16, 2009 the City Council approved an amendment to the
North San Jose Area Development Policy to address the provision
of affordable housing, development permit extensions and capacity
for hotels and large-format retail uses. The Council directed
staff to conduct additional outreach on the changes related to
the large-format retail and hotel capacity. Since the June
Council meeting, staff has held five outreach meetings with key
stakeholder groups.

b) Other minor clarification changes to the Policy

Staff is proposing revisions to the Policy to clarify
implementation of certain policy recommendations. The majority of
the changes are considered minor in nature and are meant to
provide consistency among guiding policies.

2) Status Update on the North San Jose Urban Design Guidelines

Staff will provide a status report on the North San Jose Urban
Design Guidelines.

1) Approval of North San Jose Neighborhoods Plan

The Neighborhoods Plan incorporates the recommendations from the
Guiding Principles and the Implementation Strategy created by the
Taskforce. The Plan was also presented at the June 11, 2009
Taskforce meeting. The Taskforce is being asked to consider the
approval of the Neighborhoods Plan and recommend the Plan for
acceptance by the City Council.
