question for anyone renting out their unit, or anyone that might know the answer...

what kind of rental insurance should a landlord purchase if renting out a unit in Villagio? what does HOA cover insurance-wise?

thanks!

Generally you need fire insurance. You want to insure the basics of the unit from the studs in. Imagine there is a fire in a rental unit. The tenants will have insurance (or should) on their belongings, so as a landlord, what you need to protect are the ceilings, floors, appliances etc. Again, insurance companies do this everyday. Talk to your agent and get a couple opinions.
