Patrol Service? What patrol service? Empty Patrol Service? What patrol service?

Post  wazotinker Sun Oct 21, 2012 1:26 am

I got notice in the mail regarding Patrol Service in next HOA meeting. The last time I heard about what to do on the security of our community, the board was thinking about putting up fence around our community? Was that idea cancelled in place of patrol service? As far as I know, patrol service is good measure against dumb thieves. Smart ones would learn their patrol schedule and do damage anyway. I hope owners gets to vote on your findings.

Oh yeah, what's the difference between the Executive Session and Board of Directors Meeting?

Thanks!

This forum is not monitored or acknowledged by Members of the Board or by Common Interest. There is no website. If you contact Micheal Allen at Common Interest he should be able to answer your questions. In order for the members of this forum to be informed you will have to post here what you find out.

Michael Allen is the Community Association Manager for our community. Mallen@commoninterest.com (925) 743-3080 ext.218 is Michael's email and phone number. Any questions just give him a call. If you want to see the minutes from the HOA meetings you have to ask for them. They will not be posted from what I understand. The minutes will give you information what is being addressed.

I am glad Tom is still keeping the Villagio Forum going. As far as I know, there is no one from the board who cares to let the rest of us know what is going on other than Reese. Reese is doing a great job. At least he looks at the forum.

I almost forgot to reply back with the findings: let me just say Michael Allen is very responsive and seems to be on top of things. This is his reply:

The Board was considering adding a patrol servcie to the community where a patrol officer would walk the community for several hours every night. The Board elected to put that on hold due to the costs involved. We are also talking to the City of San Jose about adding fences to the community. I have yet to hear back from the City.

fence? Patrol? I am not sure if it actually improves the security.
I used to leave in gated community in Sunnyvale (at Avalon near Lawrence expressway) where all the gates, garages and little doors needed a special key to open. These keys were regularly replaced, and yet there were break ins almost every month. And BTW, not always at night.
