Anyone interested in getting HOA to allow solar panels

on the roof?

I think we could get a very good deal from vendors if a critical mass of home owners contract as a group. Some offer no cash down, monthly payments, with full maintenance included.

I'm open to the idea. We looked into it about 7 or 8 years ago and at the time it just wasn't cost effective. The other issue is our tiled roof. Installation may cause roofing problems. We have a maintenance policy on the roof and a warranty which may get tricky if the roof vendor claims the installation caused the leak. Doesn't mean we shouldn't look at the option just something to keep in the back of our minds.

I just saw this post. I'm interested. I'm sure a solar panel company would have warranty on their installation work in case they caused a problem with the tile roof.
