Refinancing Help
I am in the process of refinancing my condo and the lender has requested that a Condo Questionnaire be filled out by Peachtree. I contacted Peachtree and they stated that they have a Lender Questionnaire that I can order from them but it will cost me $135.00. They also stated that if I wanted the Questionnaire that my lender provided to be filled in, it would cost me the $135 PLUS an additional $100. This is rediculous. The information on the form is standard and the only thing that changes per each request to them is the property address. So, Peachtree will charge each person living in Villagio who is refinancing $135.00 to print the form. What really gets me going is that when you look at the form, it clearly states at the bottom that the information is being provided by Peachtree as a coustesy service to lenders and other real estate professionals.
In 2009, a nice homeowner posted the populated Lender Questionnaire on this blog for use by others. I can't use this due to it being two years old, but was wondering if any other homeowners in Villagio have recently refinanced and obtained the questionnaire from Peachtree. I am will to offset some of your incurred cost but out of principle, I don't want to give Peachtree another $135. It just is wrong.
I have asked my lender if the standard form from Peachtree will suffice or if I need to get their unique form filled out and pay the additional $100. I am keeping my fingers crossed that they will accept the standard form.
If no one is willing to share the questionnaire they ordered from Peachtree recently then I suggest if there are other homeowners in Villagio that are currently or will be refinancing in the near future band together and split the cost of the questionnaire from Peachtree rather than give them the fee multiple times for nothing.
Anyone interested?

Re: Refinancing Help
I just emailed my broker to see if he could send me the doc. I will email it to you for free if I can get it.
My first broker told me he couldn't believe Peachtree would charge us like this and then due to getting better interest rate, I decided to go for another bank and I got charged again by Peachtree on the same document since my second bank didn't accept the doc Peachtree sent to my first bank. At the time, I just wanted to get out of it and paid everything to have this process finished as soon as possible and I didn't even bother to see the doc.
I remember someone in one meeting we had at the pool side mentioning the refinance process and what kind of pain Peachtree caused. At the time, I didn't plan to do any of it so not pay attention at all. After my painful six month refinancing, I deeply understand the frustration and anger homeowners in this complex can get from Peachtree. Only when you've been there, you'd know.

Re: Refinancing Help
Carolyn,
Thank you so much for getting the doc from your broker for me. I really appreciate it and owe you one! I completely agree that one does not understand how much pain the refinancing process is because of Peachtree until they experience it first hand. All is smooth, except for them.
I await your email and thank you again.

Re: Refinancing Help
Believe or not, I still haven't got the questionnaire from my bank (BofA) and I couldn't help Sarah last time either.
Sorry,

2010 HoA Budget
I am in the process of refinancing my mortgate and was told by my broker that Peachtree will charge me $85 for ordering a copy of 2010 HoA budget.
If you happen to have a copy of the file, would you mind sharing with me?
Thanks a lot.
