children peeing in fountains

Post  terrychr on Sun Jul 13, 2008 3:07 pm

This morning a watched a mother (her husband was standing next to her
as was her older boy) help her little boy pee in the fountain next to
the stop sign. By the way the ducks were also sitting in that
fountain. I am sure this is just as unsanitary as not picking up ones
dog poop. I know it is more disturbing to see!

Do we have rules about this kind of behavior? BTW, they do live in the complex and were parked near the front today.

Hi Terry,

I doubt the CC&R's specifically mention peeing in the fountains is not allowed but culturally that's not something that most of us would ever consider doing. Especially since there's a restroom by the pool. It's not the end of the world and I'd be much more pissed if this was the pool or spa.

Personally I think it would have been best to address the issue on the spot with the parents. The HOA can spend additional $ sending a mailing or mentioning it in the newsletter but how many people read it? I doubt the parents read this forum. We still don't have the majority of residents registered.

Do you happen to know which unit and building they live in?
